Today I reach a historic point in my life: My first netflix arrival! I joined on Monday as a way to score 2500 American Airline miles through some promotion.
I put "Flight of the Conchords Disc 1" at the top of my queue, and even though it had a waiting list it should be arriving today. I guess they treat newbies well.
I don't expect I'll keep netflix that long, as I am historically terrible at being able to sit in one place long enough to watch a full movie, at least by myself, but I think it's a better option for me than buying DVDs of TV shows and watching them once, if ever, like I have done with Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Arrested Development. I mean, I like these shows a lot, but I'm not the type to watch and rewatch episodes, or not these days anyhow.
I will play the same video game over and over again, though. Active vs. passive entertainment?
