I baked scones tonight for my mom. They're the most buttery scones I've ever had! The recipe is from Smitten Kitchen:
http://bit.ly/bfO1Ne I used 1/2 cup dried organic cranberries and 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Instead of making 8 scones,
I yielded 11, but could have very well made 12 if I had squished the dough into the 8x8 pan more evenly.
They are excellent with apricot preserves and a dollop of fresh cream! I have 1 cup of heavy whipping left, so I'll have to bake another batch of scones before the 22nd (when the cream expires)!
