There will be a lot of these in a cluster, since I didn't have computer access Friday-Sunday. But who will object to double or even triple Halloween movie fun???

Young Wizards Handbook Giveaway Contest! The first selection for today is a remake of a well known Halloween film (called, well, Halloween). I adore Rob Zombie as a director (also a fan of his music). While I don't think his remake of Halloween is his strongest work (I much prefer another movie of his, which I'll talk about later this week), I do think the first half of the movie is very well done; one of the more realistic portrayals of HOW a serial killer could develop.

Favorite Quote: "I don't know what else I can do for you, Michael. You haven't said a word in fifteen years. That's a life time. That's twice as long as my first marriage."
Favorite Scene: I just really liked all of the analysis of Michael by Loomis.
Best Use of a Song: Nazareth's "Love Hurts" during Michael's
Part of the movie not shown that I'd really like to see: There is a scene that I KNOW I saw in theaters with Bill Mosely playing a cop that was cut on the DVD that we have. No idea why.
Audience to share this with at a Halloween party: People who will watch any and all horror. Not for kids or the non-horror fans or even the classic horror fans who don't care for remakes. Personally, I find some of the remakes better than the originals (Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a prime example).
Costume idea from movie: Take your pick. I would like to say that I was very freaked out when I realized that I actually owned the clown mask Michael is wearing at the beginning of the movie. If I find a picture of it I'll post it!
