There was a bumper sticker I saw on my way home from work the other day that really pissed me off. It said "I'm out of bed and dressed, what more do you want from me?"
Normally, or rather historically, such a comment would not have bothered me in the slightest. But lately, I've been looking around at lazy Americans and realizing this is not only a fair stereotype but one that is celebrated. No wonder we have an overwhelming obesity rate in this nation if this is a touted slogan.
Lately I've been thinking more about moving in the next few years and trying to figure out where I might be best suited to live. Meanwhile, I found this survey:
American Cities That Best Fit You:
65% New York City
60% Boston
60% Philadelphia
55% Chicago
50% San Francisco
Which American Cities Best Fit You? I should have Chris take it too and hopefully there's some overlap somewhere.
I hadn't been thinking as much about moving lately, since it'll be at least a year and a half before my big project with work is over, my surgery's done and my braces are off, but my mom mentioned at random how terrible I would be to move away and leave her all alone and that made me consider it even harder. I don't respond well to guilt. For now, Orlando's fine, but as time goes on I know I'll be very ready to leave it.
