So much has changed in the past few weeks. Mainly that I'm now working on a major national branding campaign for *ahem* a major Entertainment client who I'm currently not naming in this blog. Quite the task and it's hard work but wonderful and exciting and everything I'd hoped to find when I first decided to major in advertising and golly gee aren't I just hot shit now. It's funny though, it really just feels like my campaigns project - or strategies project or copy and visualization for that matter - back in college.
I guess UF really does have a kickass advertising program afterall. I feel well-prepared, not overwhelmed, confident and composed. It's fantastic and yet just feels like everyday life, like a side project I'd want to do regardless of money or career or exposure. I guess this is what it's like to get paid to do something you really dig doing.
Some of you may wonder "hey Kate, how the hell did you ever land that?" Meeting the right people by going out and looking for them, hard work for next to no pay and a shitload of patience. However this is only one big campaign, I'm not sure how the future will unfold. Perhaps I'll become some marketing genius and do more national campaigns and then some, or maybe this is just a small side step from something else. For now, I'm excited, and I'm loving every minute.
