Had a successful interview with Jay and Brent today for CMC. After Ashley mentioning how some people didn't get officially accepted until a week or a day prior last year, I expected that I would have to wait all summer. But at the end of the interview, Jay had already decided he wanted me in CMC -- even put me on the list for a host home. He mentioned that this year they're going to be doing greater outreach with hardcore music and made it clear that my musical skills will be used and challenged because I'm into that scene. I'm ecstatic. I'm almost more excited more than anything right now just knowing I'll be moved out in 3 months. But I'm most happy and satisfied in knowing that I heard God's call to such a huge commitment, and actually obeyed not out of fear of condemnation, but with joy. Now I have incentive to keep working almost full time this summer, and to keep advancing in music. Thanks, Jesus, I needed that little push.
