Unbelievable!
This morning, I WON tickets!
Yes, that's right.
Hours after my post bemoaning my lack of luck and how I really want to go, but can't unless I win tickets.
I am now the proud "owner" of two 2nd row tickets to see Billy Joel in February! Of course, I can't pick them up until January 4th, but, I won.
I am forever indebted to the songs "Big Shot", "Tell Her About It" and "Matter of Trust" as those were the three in this morning's mashup.
In other news, my best friend from childhood, Becky, had HER son on Wednesday also by C-section at ANOTHER hospital. So, while I was meeting my nephew, she was having Alex. Weird!
This morning I had a headache when I woke up, so I took sinus medicine but I was out of Excedrin. Then I took an Imitrex because it still hurt. Finally, I added in ANOTHER Imitrex during our endless staff meeting at work, and about a half-hour later I wanted to curl up in the dark space under my desk and cry. So I took a half-day "occurrence"-- leave without prior approval-- and came home and went to sleep in my warm, dark room with the Elliedog. Now, I'm feeling better, although my chest/neck still feels weird from the Imitrex.
