(no subject)
I'm really nervous about the new job...and excited, and happy, and scared...I don't like going into situations where I don't know what I'm doing. I'm a big fan of plans and checklists and comfort, and new jobs don't fit into my comfort zone very well. I went to the Jefferson County health department for my TB skin test today. Can I just say that the folks at the health dept. are scary? Someone was in the waiting room eating a BIG container of fish and fries from Captain D's while they were wating on their appointment. Who eats like that in the doctor's office, much less the infectious disease waiting room?!
In other news, Jason & Nicola have birthdays on Sunday, Oct. 1 and mine follows on the 7th. I think I'll be in Nashville that weekend, but I'm not sure. *AND* Dad wants to go to the lake on Sunday if the weather is nice. It's a little nippy for a swim, but it'll be nice to ride around. UAB game on Saturday-- it's Homecoming this weekend. We'll be tailgating at Legion Field first.
Oh well...time for me to hit the hay I suppose. Today was my last 6:30 AM shift at the bakery. I go in at 11 tomorrow and close, and 11-4 Friday and that's it.
