Go Blazers!
So, we had a group outing to Wings at Patton Creek to watch the UAB Blazers take on the UTEP...whatever they are. Anyway, who cares? UAB WON!!! 63-60, in a close game which was SO nice to see after the butt-kicking they gave us during the regular season. Tomorrow-- Memphis vs. UAB, in Memphis. So, once again...

I ate badly and way too much. There were all manner of things fried at our table, and I ate meat today-- whoops, it's Lent. THEN we went for celebratory ice cream at Cold Stone. I got the smallest size they had-- it was still pretty dang big. I asked if they had a "I'd Like to Fit Into My Jeans Tomorrow" size, but alas, they only have the "Like It", "Love It", "Gotta Have It" sizes. Anyway, maybe I got the "bad food" thing out of my system for awhile-- cheese fries and a fried PICKLE for the love of God! Shame, shame, shame...Maybe the beginning of the week will cancel out the end of the week.
Oh, I did get to see Amber today and meet her friend Brian! Hope you guys had a fun time in BHam, and found your way home OK :) If ever there were a candidate for in-car GPS or On-Star, it's Amber ;) Wish I'd had time to talk more, but it was busy today.
Oh, and we had an "incident" where the Police were called...actually, they were called by our next-door neighbors. A little matter of a guy trying to pass what we're pretty sure were fake $20 bills (he wanted 2 $50s or a $100 for them) and just chilling on the sidewalk-- he started at one end of the shopping center and ended up way down at our end, sipping Coke from a 2 liter bottle he had brought with him out of a cup of ice he got from me, smoking a Swisher Sweet cigar and playing some f'd up version of solitaire/rummy on the table outside the door. So N. next door, after checking up on me since I was alone, called the police to just check it out-- our friend ended up taking a ride with them. Very interesting. I wonder if they were counterfeit--sucks for him if they were.
That's pretty much it for now. Oh, I heard from my brother-- he has to work Sunday, so no Glen this weekend for me. I'm keeping myself at home for a change.
