Hey there! My understanding of LJ's age limitation is that it works based on what birth year you specify when you create your account. As long as the specified year puts the user at over age 18, s/he should have no trouble with the age restrictions - in fact, the person shouldn't even see the age limitation prompt while logged into their account. The age restrictions at jedionpaper are in place because there is explicit content posted to the community, and LJ prefers that communities with such content carry a restriction. I am unfortunately bound by LiveJournal policy in this matter; it certainly isn't my preference to have such a restriction on my work - in fact, I believe it's the job of a child's parents to monitor their children's usage of the internet, rather than my responsibility as a random user. But, I don't set LJ policy. ;)

My suggestion would be, if you are indeed over 18 and have indicated this in your profile (it doesn't have to be public), to contact LJ Support and ask them what's up. Maybe there's some kind of setting or lock on your account that shouldn't be there, and is therefore preventing you from accessing adult content? You can also try editing your profile so that your birth year is clearly indicated. In either case, though, a message to LJ Support is probably best - it may be a technical issue with the site itself, and if that's true, I can't really help you there. ;)
