It WAS Ottawa/Buffalo all over again, I pretty much called it on Twitter haha. And like with Ottawa/Buffalo, I just went totally zen in overtime. What will be will be, que sera sera, etc. In the third period I was screeching, yelling, swearing, on my feet, barely sitting on my couch, and in overtime Andrew described me as a zombie. Which is totally true.
To U.S. fans, I'm sorry. Your team was amazing, and they gave us everything we could possibly handle and MORE. I would honestly not have been surprised if the US had taken it in overtime. They had the momentum going into the extra period and if the bounces had gone another way, I could be typing a very different post right now. Kudos, kudos, kudos. This is the way hockey should be.
Watching them get their medals right now. WOW. This is really something else.
