Last night, after the lights had been turned out if I remember correctly, Chris suggested that we strip off the wallpaper in the dining room today.
Bad news this morning: tool hire places closed.
Good news this morning: Wickes sell what we need at cheaper than rental with very good customer reviews.
How many times have I cycled down there since I started this holiday? The fact I can't even remember should tell you that redecoration has been a recent theme of my life. Or that my memory is daft.
This afternoon I have mostly been up to my ankles in bits of wallpaper. The wall underneath turns out to be a rather surprising shade of green.
Tomorrow I'm holding out for the damn garden centre. I'm sure I'll like the end result, but I can only take so much steam and scraping at once.
