Work is flooded. Someone posted the pics on Facebook. It's relatively close to the river, so I knew it was going to happen, but actually *seeing* it is surreal. There's a 7-11 petrol station about 50m metres away, and a bit downhill. The water is up to its roof.
You never really think that something like this is ever going to happen, and then it does, and it still hasn't sunk in that things aren't quite going to be the same for a long time. Compared to a lot of other people, I'm in a good situation, but the supermarket down the street is closed - not because they're flooded, or because they're out of stock, but because they don't have enough staff to keep the place open.
Not yet stir crazy.
