Sybaris was marvelous as usual.
We made out for awhile as soon as we got in the door which was fun, shed the clothing and proceeded to remain naked the rest of the afternoon. Drank wine, watched porn from the whirlpool, did nasty things in the massaging chair, had time to rest up while eating grapes, apples, brie and crackers and watching the blooper reel from Janine Loves Jenna. Then we each had some solo fun *wink nudge* and back to the whirlpool for awhile to vegetate for a bit.
Janine Loves Jenna looks like a freaky-awesome movie. They're supposed to be in hell and the atmosphere is sinister-circus-sideshow, so you've got your demons & various methods of torture, midgets dressed up like little winged demons, an evil clownesqe master of ceremonies who looks like a cross between Joel Gray in Cabaret and Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka and everyone else decked out like Cirque du Soleil. Sadly I had to learn all this from watching disc two, which was nothing but special features. Disc one with the actual movie on it wouldn't play for some reason. Neither would Tokyo Nurses or MILF Hunter.
Barely Legal Summer Camp was pretty good though.
After all that we still had time for a short nap before showering and cleaning up, then I even spent another good long session in the massage chair, getting a massage that didn't involve my naughty bits this time. My naughty bits were tired anyway. And my butt hurt.
I told you we could get a lot done in four hours. :)
Afterwards we took our dishrag-limp selves over to Wildfire restaurant to spend a $100 gift certificate Ian got for Christmas from his employer 2 years ago. Being a bumpkin from small-town Ohio whose idea of fine dining is buffalo shrimp at Hooters, $100 seemed like an awful lot of money and I thought we'd probably have enough left on that gift certificate to eat out again some time. That turned out not to be the case.
We'd heard good things about Wildfire's steaks so that's what we got, and it was indeed to die for. I really don't care for steak unless it is so tender you can practically cut it with a fork. The bacon-wrapped, horseradish encrusted filet mignon I had was melt-in-your mouth tender and juicy. Like an orgasm on a plate. Ian was just as blissed out by his Porterhouse with bearnaise. The redskin mashed potatoes were good, but the onion bread... oh my god. Still warm, freshly baked, sweet, slightly chewy heaven slathered in butter. I wish I'd have grabbed the remainder of the second loaf and stuffed it in my purse. They took it away before I realized and never offered to wrap it up.
Two steak dinners plus a shared appetizer plus non-alcoholic beverages came to $83. It's a good thing we didn't want alcohol or dessert. Normally I wouldn't have left a 20% tip for a meal this pricey, because face it, the dude really didn't have to work twice as hard as the Hooters chick who usually gets $8 and has a much nicer rack; but what the heck was I going to do with a gift card with like $7 left on it? So we just gave him the balance.
So the weekend truly rocked, but I think I may have caught some sort of virus or dread disease though. Not from Sybaris, or my husband, mind you... I actually started feeling a little weird on Saturday evening. My lower back hurt just a little bit in the early evening but later that night after walking around for maybe half an hour at the porno store my legs were so weak and shaky that I could hardly stand up. And my body just felt weary. I thought maybe I had just overdone with all the working around the house, but I really didn't do THAT much that was strenuous. I was better on Sunday morning though my back was still feeling it a little; but by the time we got home Sunday night I was exhausted and achy all over and my back hurt a lot more. I went to bed at 7 and, except for a one-hour interlude in the middle of the night where I sat at the computer because my back hurt too much to sleep, I slept until almost 7 a.m.
I don't hurt as much this morning but I do feel really weak and tired. I had planned to do some more stuff around here today but I think I'm going to confine it to things I can do sitting down. Which means I hope the espresso Doubleshot I just drank doesn't kick in too hard. It's supposed to be really hot today anyway, so I might just head to Borders this afternoon and soak up some free air conditioning.
