Things at Home: 3 humans, 5 cats. All is well. Nothing much going on around here, as we like it.
Things at Work: still going okay. The rest of 2nd shift has started coming in two hours earlier on Fridays, except for me. Management had been talking about this idea for a while - it was proposed as an all-or-nothing, we all had to agree or it wouldn’t happen. I was clear that I wasn’t onboard, but that I wouldn’t ruin it for everyone else. So, when they said we were starting, I asked why I couldn’t work my regular hours all five days (I’d be alone for the last two hours, but that’s fine with me). I’m actually not even sure what happened - at first my boss’s boss (JB) seemed absolutely (and a little hostilely) against me doing that, but when he heard I hadn’t actively agreed to the different hours, he said I should come in normal time. Not sure what’s going on there, but it’s the answer I wanted, so I’m not going to argue. People are weird.
