Things at Home: 3 humans, 5 cats. Yes, that is one more cat than previously! About halfway through the month, our outside kitty, Tabby Cat, jumped up to look in my office window - when our indoor/outdoor cats used to be more indoor, they would come to the window to let me know they wanted in. It was cold and rainy, so I went to the front door to see if Tabby really wanted to come in - and after a little coaxing, he did. He’s in the basement now (Mom ordered one of those multi-story cages, because he has pretty much no experience being a house cat).
Also, Christmas! It was quiet this year, just our little table-top tree and a few decorations. None of us were really feeling it this year, not totally bah humbug, just kind of blah. We mostly stayed home and watched Christmas movies and made cookies (lots of cookies).
Although, there was another thing - I dyed the bottom foot of my hair blue! I’ve always wanted blue hair, so I figured why not? Mom helped, but neither of us had ever dyed anyone’s hair before, so we ended up with a big mess (which Dad helped clean up). But I think it turned out pretty good:
Things at Work: still going well. Once again this year, I had a bunch of days off to use by the end of the year, so I took all the Wednesdays in November and December (except the one before Thanksgiving) and a few more days in December. With Christmas and New Year’s both being in the middle of the week, that was almost two full months without having to work a whole five days in a row. Now, it’s back to real schedule…
