1. Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas - which one do you use?
I generally say ‘happy holidays’ to random people like cashiers, but ‘merry Christmas’ to people I know celebrate it. And I reply back whatever anybody says to me.
2. Do you own an ugly Christmas sweater?
Yes. I’ve made two now, for our office ugly sweater contest (last year, I won 2nd prize, but nothing this year). But Dad says they’re too well-made to really be ugly.
3. Do you celebrate the Winter Solstice?
No. I kind of mark in as an astronomical thing, because I like to know that sort of thing, but I don’t celebrate it in any way.
4. Now that you are 'in the know', what would you leave out for St. Nick on the 24th?
I happen to know that Santa prefers to be left a ‘wee nip’, especially cognac.
5. Tired of the snow and icky weather yet? For those fortunate folks in the other hemisphere, are you tired of the humidity and hot weather?
We haven’t had any snow yet - well, one storm back in early November. It was sixty degrees out yesterday, and it’s supposed to be just as warm the couple of days after Christmas!
