Green on Monday
Green, Tony decided, was his favorite color for Ziva to wear.
He propped his head on one arm and gave up any pretense of working on his backlog of reports.
Gibbs would be gone on his coffee run for at least another fifteen minutes, giving him plenty of time to return to gazing at his partner.
She was wearing green today.
Okay, so it was a green sweater, long sleeve and everything, but it still looked fantastic on her. It was a dark shade of green, too, maybe forest green, that brought out the highlights in Ziva's dark hair. She'd worn her hair long that day, too, so the curls fell loose around her shoulders.
Now that Tony thought about it, he was pretty sure Ziva had several other tops that same color. Not to mention that dress she'd worn when they were undercover as married assassins-
"Tony!" said Ziva sharply. She had clearly looked up to find him gazing at her, and was just as clearly not happy about it. "You are supposed to be working."
He smiled. "I am working, Zee-vah. I've got to wait for this computer thing to finish... computing."
She raised an eyebrow at him. "If you are playing games over there, Gibbs will not be pleased."
Tony snorted. "May I remind you that I am a highly-trained federal agent, and I would never let Gibbs catch me- He's right behind me, isn't he?"
Ziva smiled. "Hello, Gibbs."
"I meant, that you'd never catch me not working, boss," said Tony quickly, "because I am never not working, always on the- shutting up now."
Tony quickly went back to work, but he couldn't help sneaking glances at his partner.
Green, Tony decided, was his favorite color on Ziva.
At least until Tuesday, when she wore blue.
