Things at Home: 3 humans, 4 cats. All is well. The 25th was my birthday - my thirtieth birthday! I don’t feel especially older, but it’s probably a good sign that I’ve made it this far… My birthday was a Monday this year, and normally where I work does a pot-luck lunch for people’s birthdays, but our part-time payroll/the owner’s husband has the same birthday as me, so six of us (that’s pretty much everybody) went out for dinner at Noodle 88 down the road. I’d never been there, and it was really good. They focus on noodle-based Chinese food, but I had a duck sandwich - yum! Then my parents took me to Umai for sushi. They both tell me that sushi is ‘interesting’ but I’m on my own eating it next time :) Then, on the Thursday after, some friends from the library, Mom and I went to the American Star Diner - my choice, because if we’re going to sit and talk, it should be someplace that’ll keep bringing me coffee.
And now that July is over, Mom and I are headed to Upstate New York for our annual family reunion! Stories and pictures to follow…
Things at Work: going well! See above for an example of me actually spending time with my co-workers. It’s busy, most of the time, and I will never be a fan of mornings, but right now, work is going pretty good.
