“No, you, ah… you wouldn’t let go of me. I don’t know what exactly you were seeing, but you seemed sure that if you kept holding my hand, nothing would get me. Which is sweet, but probably not that effective.”

“Oh,” John said again, flushing a little himself. “Sorry?”

“You just-” said Rodney. “You passed out just as we stepped through the wormhole. I thought…”

Poor Rodney! It must've been a miserable shock, going from herding a somewhat fuzzy & clingy Lt. Col. to having him drop like a rock as soon as they reach Atlantis. :-\ I'm sure Rodney was reliving all the worst experiences he'd had with allergic reactions while John was being treated, & blaming himself for not being stern & force-marching John to the 'Gate as quickly as possible.

Glad that John seems OK at the end; Rodney's sputtering & insults seem almost back to normal. (Perhaps just a bit weaker than usual because of the shock but neither one will ever refer to it. ;-) Honestly, I think it's time that the Pegasus natives do the taste-testing whenever possible.

Thank you! He's a worrier, our Rodney, but that's probably a good suggestion (which Teyla and Ronon will agree to, but John will 'forget' by their next mission...)
