Your Mission
Good morning, Agent _____.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate the mansion of Victor Bädguy, notorious Norwegian fish smuggler. This is a perilous assignment, and you must feel free to decline.
You will do it?
Splendid.
The supplies you will need can be found in the trunk of your newly-issued car, which you will find in the parking lot of the train station, in space 319. You will find that your electronic key fob has already been altered to the new frequency. You will also find that your target point, another public parking facility, is programmed into your GPS device, with back-up hard copy maps to be found in your glove box.
After you arrive at the target location, nothing must be committed to any physical record. As such, Agent _____, you will memorize the following directions for gaining entry to and navigating Mr. Bädguy’s mansion.
You will leave the parking facility, not through the main gate, but through the woods to the north. You will continue for approximately half a kilometer, until you encounter a chain-link fence. There will be a set of bolt-cutters in your kit, suitable for the task, but you must remember to create your entry point to be as concealed from passersby as possible.
On the other side of the fence, you will find more forested area for another thirty yards, which will open into a domestic garden. As Mr. Bädguy is currently between gardeners, it should provide adequate cover for you to approach the house. You will see four doors on the rear side of the edifice, and you will enter through the second from the left, using the key you will find in the window box of blue flowers immediately to its right.
The house will be empty, as Mr. Bädguy routinely takes his entire staff with him on extended trips. If the residence is not empty, you will find among your supplies an ornate silver perfume bottle that contains a fast-acting knock-out gas, which should neutralize any human obstacles.
You will proceed along the corridor, then take a turn to the left. There will be a narrow servants’ passage behind the tapestry depicting the Battle of Trafalgar, which will take you to the lower and more fortified level of the mansion.
From there, you will bear to the right, through the first door, down another corridor, then through the second door. There will then be another corridor, curving to the left for several dozen feet, which will bring you to a large, carved wooden door.
And from there, Agent _____, I am afraid you will be on your own. Our intelligence operatives could find no information on what lies beyond that door. It appears on no blueprints or plans, official or otherwise. However, we do have intelligence that Mr. Bädguy keeps documents and records which are crucial to his illegal operation .
