writerverse wv_library Remember and Yet
Do you remember walking in the hills?
The dying sun our only chaperone
There was no other human soul for miles
And yet with you I cannot feel alone
Do you remember skies of pink and gold?
Bright oranges and dusky twilight blue
More colors, richer still, that have no name
And yet I can recall no sight but you
Do you remember watching darkness fall?
Each star a distant diamond in the night
The moon a shining disk of silver pearl
And yet I walked entirely in your light
My love, how lucky can a person be?
That one like you has chosen one like me?
