“Hey, boss,” said Tony, coming down the basement stairs. “Just came by to return your tools.”
Gibbs nodded, and Tony set the toolbox on a clear space at the end of his workbench. “It’s late. Could’ve brought them by tomorrow.”
“Sure,” Tony agreed. “But then this batch of chocolate chip cookies that Mrs. Wahlburg made for me would have gotten cold.”
“You fixed her sink, DiNozzo,” said Gibbs.
“Yes, but you taught me how,” said Tony, and set the Tupperware container in front of him. “Credit where it’s due, you know.”
“You bring beer?” Gibbs asked.
“Nope,” said Tony. “Milk.”
