“Jimmy,” said Ziva, watching his knuckles turn white as he gripped the steering wheel. “Are you all right?”
“What? No, I’m fine.”
He glanced at her, then at her very round middle, then immediately back to the road, and Ziva scowled. “I am not due for six weeks,” she said, sharply.
“I know!” said Jimmy. “But babies come when they want to, and I’m just worried that…”
Ziva rested a hand on his arm. “Jimmy,” she said again. “If the time comes, I would trust you to bring my child safely into the world.”
“Oh,” he said, softly, and smiled.
