“I shall wait for Abigail’s analysis,” said Ducky, handing Palmer the sample jar. “But I believe this is raspberry jelly.”
Gibbs frowned at the sticky red goo all over the victim’s face. “That the cause of death?”
“It’s jam, actually,” said Palmer. “There’s bits of fruit in it.”
“Raspberry,” Tony repeated. “Question is: did he have time to release the tiger?”
“DiNozzo…” Gibbs began, as McGee jogged up to them.
“Boss, you’re not going to believe this! Our victim used to work at a zoo, and he was illegally keeping a tiger in… What?”
Tony laughed, until Gibbs head-slapped him.
