“I don’t get it, Duck,” said Gibbs, after sitting silently in autopsy for several minutes. “Ziva, DiNozzo, and now McGee…”
Ducky looked up from his paperwork. “I presume you are referring to our young colleagues and their fathers?”
Gibbs scowled. “Yeah.”
“If you recall, Jethro, Director David did much to repair his relationship with Ziva before his death. And the elder Mr. DiNozzo has made much more of an effort recently. Perhaps we should give Admiral McGee more time?”
“If they were my kids, I’d have been proud of them,” said Gibbs, firmly.
Ducky smiled. “You are proud of them.”
