Ducky hadn’t even realized he’d fallen asleep at his desk, when he was startled awake by a loud crash. He was on his feet before he knew it, following the sound to his office.
He found Jimmy in his office, staring at the remains of a teacup on the floor.
“Dr. Mallard,” his assistant breathed. “I was just… I was making you a cup of tea, and I…”
“Are you all right?” Ducky asked.
“Yes, of course,” said Jimmy, confused, kneeling to gather the pieces. “But… this was your favorite teacup.”
Ducky smiled. “Perhaps. But you are my favorite assistant.”
