Crisp opening setting the scene waiting and thinking until Howell shows up. Good from Howell that Eleanor Chapman was dead before the missing persons report was filed. Nice as Howell explains that he's going back to a regular patrol beat with his new partner, Zeke. Perfect as Zeke tells Howell that she knows he's a werewolf and that she's a vampire. The trust between them is necessary because partners protect each other.
