“You three,” said Gibbs, pinning his agents with a glare, “stay here and don’t move.”
Without another word, he ducked under the police tape and headed toward the gathered Metro cops.
McGee shifted uncomfortably on the curb. “Ziva,” he asked, softly, “are you okay?”
“I am fine,” she said. “I was not hit as hard as Tony.”
“Thanks a lot, McSexist,” said Tony, then frowned. “Think Gibbs will be pleased enough we caught the guy to forget we were pulled off this case?”
Gibbs turned back toward them, and the three agents unconsciously shifted closer together.
“Guess not,” said McGee.
