"Ziva, my dear," said Ducky, not taking his eyes from the white gauze he wrapped carefully around her left wrist and forearm. "Might I offer a little advice, as a fellow immigrant to this country?"
The ex-Mossad officer eased the ice pack from her rapidly-purpling eye. "Certainly, Ducky."
He kept his concentration on her bandage. "Despite what Anthony and Abigail may have told you, it actually is not a requirement to set off fireworks on the fourth of July."
Ziva's face flashed from surprised, to irritated, to resigned in about three seconds, and Ducky finally let out the held-in chuckle.
