New Pain
Ziva had been shot before, more than once.
She'd had broken bones, dozens of stitches, several concussions, more bruises and cuts than she could remember- and she wasn't even going to think about what happened in Somalia- but nothing, none of it, was as bad as this.
Cuts and bruises and broken bones could be ignored, but this was something completely different, straining muscles she'd never thought she would ever have the chance to use.
But then the nurse placed a blanket-wrapped bundle in her arms that blinked up at her with Tony's hazel eyes and the pain was forgotten.
