“Hey, buddy,” said John. “What’s the rush?”
Torren waved an envelope. “Gotta go in the mail.”
John took it, then frowned. “Did your mom help with this?”
“All by myself,” he said, proudly.
“And you did a good job, but it can’t get to Canada with just Madison’s first name on it. Let’s find a bigger envelope and we can-”
“No need, colonel,” interrupted Caldwell. “I’ll see that this is delivered, personally.”
Torren beamed. “Thanks, Colonel Steven!”
