The sheriff’s van sped out of the NCIS evidence garage, leaving a small mountain of dusty archive boxes in its wake.
“What now?” asked McGee.
Ziva arched an eyebrow. “Don’t you know how to eat an elephant?”
“I…” He blinked. “I don’t even know what that idiom was supposed to be.”
“She got it right, Probie,” said Tony. “And the answer is - one bite at a time. Everybody grab a box and let’s get to it.”
“Done!” said McGee, hours later, relocating the last form.
As if on cue, the elevator opened, and Gibbs stopped short.
“Good job,” he said.
