“Counselor Troi informs me that I may request a hug from you, commander.”
“A-?” He huffed a laugh. “I think Deanna was joking with you.”
“Will you honor my request?” Worf asked, seriously.
“You want a hug? Now?”
“I am prepared.”
Worf opened his arms, and Riker stepped into them.
It was… nice. Sturdy and warm, and Riker melted into it for a long moment before pulling away.
“Was that for you, Mr. Worf, or for me?”
“A true warrior is efficient,” he replied and left, to Riker’s grateful laughter.
