Isaac paused. Claire was packing some personal items for their traditional human ‘honeymoon’, leaving him in the main living space with both boys.
“I am legally your stepfather, yes,” he said.
“No, you’re our dad!” piped up Ty.
“I fail to see the difference.”
“You said you were going to look after us,” said Marcus. “Forever.”
“Yes,” said Isaac. “And if there are additional requirements to this position, I will gladly learn them.”
Marcus smiled. “We’ve never had a dad before, we can learn together.”
“I look forward to it.”
