“Hmm?” Natasha paused, about to slip out of their bed. “What was?”
“That Black Widows devour their mates. It was a bad study. The two spiders were alone in a glass jar - the females only ate their mates because there wasn’t anything else available. They were just being good mothers.”
“Pepper…”
“I know you’re not a spider. But you were just as much a victim of bad science. And I know you’d make a great mom.”
“Pepper….”
“Just think about it.”
Natasha took a deep breath. “Okay.”
Pepper smiled, and kissed her. “Good.”
