The Same Side
Gibbs paused outside the warehouse door to listen.
“What’d you do with those feds?” asked a voice - their suspect, Petty Officer Richardson.
“Set the shed on fire,” laughed another, the mysterious ringleader. “Told ‘em only one could get out and they’d have to fight for it. Then left Ivan to shoot the winner.”
Gibbs arched an eyebrow across the doorway - McGee, a smudge of soot still across his face, turned to grin at Tony, who still had Ivan’s gun tucked in his waistband, then both nodded their readiness. When their boss gave the signal, they moved in, in perfect sync.
