“Sometimes, I wish I could turn it off,” said Shawn, in the darkness of their bedroom. “I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s given me a lot - fame, glory, a smokin’ hot bad-ass wife-”
He glanced down at Juliet, who smiled back but stayed quiet, afraid to break the spell of honesty.
“But a lot of the time, I can’t just enjoy stuff. I can’t help noticing all the little details. Looking for flaws. It’s exhausting.”
“I wish there was something I could do to help,” Juliet said, softly.
Shawn finally smiled, “You’re already doing it,” and kissed her.
