SLC
I knew of this girl, this girl who always dreamed of giving this gift, this gift she wished that should could give. The gift of being a strong leader. Along the road of her journey she has come to a stop. She's come to the point where she needs to sit down and realize what is best for her future. Through the guidance and great leadership of the people she had been arounf most of her life, she has chosen to lead as an example as they did to her. At the beginning of her journey, she travelled long and hard. Joining Air Cadets at the age of 12 she had no idea of the possibilities she was about to be given. Then on to her basic traning in Greenwood Nova Scotia. Although that was two years ago, this year this girl is eligagable to almost finialze her goal. She has been given the opportuinity to be able to be an outstanding leader if chosen to go on the greatest course in Canada, Senior Leaders.

I suppose by now you have figured out that this girl is me. My name is Lindsey Smith and I am currently a Sergeant in the 154th Amherst Anson Squardon in my hometown Amherst, Nova Scotia. I have been in Air Cadets for four years and plan to keep going until I can. I am currently enrolled in grade ten at Amherst Regional High School with an average of about 86%
.
All I hear about this Senior Leaders Course is that it's the time of your life, the summer you will never forget. I wish to endure this.

Leadership is one of the qualities that everyone should have in life. I feel that if I get on this course I could use all the information I would learn there thoughout my lifetime. The future is an unwritten land of opportunity and this course is just one of the things that could help me fu fill my future.

So I hope you take the time to allow the chance for me to fu full my greatest opportunity. All I hear is good thigns about this couse. I want to be the next to learn that shuffle, have the summer of my life and know all those SL secrets. Thanks!

haah seee suuuuuuper gay! lol

Photography Tech

"That's the best picture of the whole wedding, better than the professionals, it's just ... the best!"
At the click of a button, the snap of the shutter, the wonderful outcome, catching the moments and the emotional remeberance. That's waht photography is all about. Sure there's more to the actual process itself but it's all about the quality, the scenery, it's all about the emotions and waht you can just do for a personal touch.

Ever since I heard about this technology couse in Borden I immedatly wanted to go to in level one. Unfortunatly I wasn't eligable. In fact in the next few years I didn't even think that it was a real course because it's not all that popular of a course to be taken at my squadron. So every year around camp aplication time I'd ask how old do I have to be to take this course, you know, all the qualifications. I got an answer of I'm not sure. Then finally this year I'm told I can apply! I was so excited! Taking pictures is one of my most favorite thigns to do, other than cadets of course.
About 6 years ago my moms friend got married. We were all in the kitchen gettin ready and I jsut picked up the camera and anpped a pic. No one really even knew that I took it. When the pictures got developed I got a call. It was the girl who got married. She told me that the picture I had taken was practically the best picture for the whole wedding! Ever since then I've had a thing for taking pictures.
In my spare time I usually take my new digital camera and casually take pictures of my new seven month old sister just for fun. I usually put them on the computer adn mess around with them with different filters and things. I love taking pictures, it's an art which I enjoy all of technology which I love even more. I love computers, I love graphic design and who would of thought that Air Cadets could enhance my hobbies even more!

It's all about opportunities and I would love to go on this course for the summer of 2005! My name is Lindsey Smith and I am currently a sergeant in my hometown Amherst Nova Scotia and part of the 154 Amherst Anson Squadron. I have completed level four and would want more than anything to come back to my hometown nextSeptember with the badge of this course and to intrest all of the younger cadets in this couse as well. Thanks!
