So tired. Merlin managed to disappear last night, and the whole family didn't sleep well worrying about wether he was coming back. Found out he came in around 2am at 6 while Dad was getting ready for work. Slept till 10:25ish, and made breakfast. First time I've cooked in a long time! Washed the dishes, and now am hunting for more to do. Which is insane, since I've been on the go for a while now.
In fact, yesterday was a full day. Went to Dim Sum in the morning at Jumbo's on Ranier Ave with
butterflydrming,
mimerki,
sinthrex,
ironymaiden and C. Was delicious, with plenty of new kinds of dim sum to be had. We left full, happy, and only around $10 poorer. Was definitely a great brunch.
AFter Dim Sum, there was a brief foray to Ballard to drop off C, and then there was a trip to Lush in Bellevue Square with
ironymaiden and
butterflydrming. Ah to have a job! Then I can spend money on lotion bars. *happy sigh* After Lush, there was an emergency flip flop detour, and a mandatory ice cream stop. Then we walked over to the new paper store in Lincoln Square, where I got really cute little zodiac animal charms for a dollar. The new container store was too much of a draw to miss, so we spent a good amount of time there. With all that walking and admiring, we needed a little boost, so
ironymaiden bought us all mini cupcakes. Because she is the awesome.
It was around 4 when we ate the cupcakes, so it was time for me to catch a bus home, and the other two to head back to Ballard. They kindly dropped me off by the Transit Center, and then I applied myself to figuring which bus to take back to Renton. Oh ho ho. It seems Bellevue has decided that people who ride busses on the weekend suck. They've made the transit center hard to navigate, and the busses run on odd hours. The 240 was running hourly, and the 560 had something going on with it. When I asked the driver how much it would be to ride from Bellevue to Renton, he calmly replied it would be $2.50. When I expressed disbelief, he told me that I could always ride the 240 with this unbelievable snooty tone. Which pissed me off, and caused a nice little PMS temper flare. If I had been thinking, I would have gotten out of him whether his bus was going to West Seattle before it went to Renton, and when I could catch the one going straight to Renton. He should have told me anyways, but can't help that now. It ended up Mom and Dad preferred to pick me up, so I didn't have to wait for the 240. It wasn't all that bad, as far as transit can go, but it was really odd. The Starbucks and Quiznos weren't even open, and they were the only places to get something to eat or drink in the area. Very unfriendly Bellevue.
Today has been quiet so far, now that I know Merlin is all right, and not missing. Probably will walk up to do a little banking, and grab some lunch. Also need to finish polishing my resume and send it out. Whoo.
Whoah, the city just took away out old fridge. Neato.
