We lie to ourselves all the time. We lie to ourselves about what we think is right and how we perceive things to be. We look back and say ' ya know what, that was ok'...but in reality was it? Think about it... right now you are lying to yourself about something you think is right? When in reality it isn't? Your probably lying to yourself about your feelings or the justification of your words or actions. You tell yourself its right, but is it just a lie? You just like living that little lie that helps you carry on day to day. So is it such a shame to lie to ourselves? If it helps you survive how bad can it be? All these lies we tell ourselves lead us on to believe things are different than they really are. I found a quote once that went something like this.... Unhappiness does not arise from the way things are. But rather from a difference in the way things are and the way we believe them to be... So by lying to ourselves we continue our happy little life only knowing lies. Sometimes we have to wake up and face reality and stop the lies that keep us going and find out what the truth really is.
You go through life meeting people and not knowing what an impact they have had on you until you're faced with the fact that things are changing. Don't ever forget what people did for you and how much certain people could make you smile because those are the ones you'll miss the most.
