So I'm teaching Alex Japanese, because we'll going there in 2019 and I want him to be able to ask for help if he needs it (he'll be 5 then) and because a second language is never a bad thing. Well, he's pretty much mastered Hiragana. Still working on Katakana (he calls it the lowercase of Hiragana because he's familiar with that concept.)

I've also been using the words that I do know in place of the English words he knows when appropriate. (So Arigatou instead of thank-you, using the Japanese terms for colours etc...) Therefore, Alex has begun to gather a small vocab of Japanese words and greetings, and generally, if I ask him to say something in Japanese, that I know he knows, he will do so. But he also has been developing a wicked sense of humour, and has a growing repertoire of jokes.

THIS is his latest gag. Very much a 'Dad joke." I am very proud. XD
