so. paul lives with his mom. which is okay because she has a huge house with what i would describe as two separate "wings" so stumbling home is not a problem. which we do a lot. but it's still awkward because paul just graduated from college (dec.) and hasn't lived at home since he was 14. and his mom's incredibly awkward and has taken to playing the first 1-2 tracks of the sleepless in seattle soundtrack every morning. the other morning when we came down stairs she said hello and described herself as "omnipresent" which is pretty creepy period, but especially if you just had sex with her son. the times that we have made small talk (which it's growing alarming clear she's incapable of) are very early in the morning as we're leaving and i'm trying to comb out the mat in my hair from being on the bottom (ladies...you are familiar) and she asks me questions about what i'm going to do with my life now i've graduated from college and still work at fridays. she's a really nice person but the whole situation is obviously a little weird. i think you all can appreciate.
in other news...when i talked to my mom yesterday she let me know it's "safe to come home now" because, apparently (from what i can interpret) the young republican party at uvm has disbanded due to bankruptcy. apparently, they wanted newt gingrich to come speak but he was so expensive they had to take out a loan to cover the cost. and now they're fucked. ha.
