I left my house, and my neighbourhood was deserted. Not a single car. Doors of houses left wide open. Top of the hill near the cemetary that dirt and decay smell was almost overwhelming. Got to the registry...and it was just as I thought....there were people just milling around, and it wasn't that pre-coffee hazy walk. Didn't notice anything different about the people working in the registry (not surprised, though). Managed to get the renewal done.
Boy, am I glad that Alex showed me some of the back ways to get home. Bottom of the hill was blocked...had to take a roundabout way to get back to my house, and I thought I saw something in the woods near the cemetary. And that moaning noise was a HELLUVA lot louder.
Ok, before anything else happens, I'm grabbin' the cats and gettin' outta here. Gonna be calling my sister and mum to make sure they're ok.
