(no subject)
So... A couple life changing decisions a head of me... When I started with the company I'm working with, I figured I'd work my way into training, or to a Team Manager position. I wanted to work my way to the top of the center, but really, I figured I'd end up in one of those two places in the company.
I did a video intervew 2 weeks ago. The video isn't done yet, so I'm not going to release details on it, but basically it was a promotional video for something I was involved with for a long time, and they wanted to include statements from people in the video. Well, I was told by the gentleman who runs the company that I would be perfect for Public Relations work. Now, during the summer, I was seriously considering going back to school for some kind of degree in office work, but then I got my job, so I never bothered looking further into it. Well it just so happens that the gentleman who runs the company also has a contact at a local college in the Public Relations program. I have a meeting with that contact on Tuesday. I've already talked with my Manager at work, and should I take this program, then I will have my school costs refunded back to me, and they'll help me transfer into the Public Relations department of my company. This, of course, means a move closer to Toronto where the head office is.
This is a huge thing for me, and if I can pull off this 2 year program as well as I pulled off going to school, then I'll be set.
On a more personal note... I'm thinking about a lot of different things, and weighing things out. We'll see what happens. I'm not going to post what I'm thinking here, it's too private. But, I am thinking. That's a start at least. Thinking leads to action?
