We started watching Beast Wars TFs. Megatron's dialogue drives me insane. @_x;;; He reminds me of that one Skeksis from The Dark Crystal that was always going around squeaking, "Yes" this, "yes" that and the thoughtful "hmmMMMmm." Otherwise, I'm liking the series so far and want to watch more. As for fave chars, I'm digging Terrorsaur partly because he's rather like Starscream although I don't care much for pterdactyls(sp, too lazy to look it up atm), but his robot mode is...well...Eh. I don't want to say "cute", but...oh...what's the word.....Eh, he's like Starscream in that regard, too. Attractiveish in an intriguing way -- as attractive as robots get, in that sense. ;) But, my overall fave is Rattrap, due in part to him being voiced by Scott McNeill ;) same as when the series was first on TV and I caught snippets here and there, but not enough to get my interest enough to watch it regularly.
Aaanndd we went to Scottsdale yesterday. I was so glad I could get someone to take my shift! As usual, we couldn't find the TF toys we wanted. I'm convinced AZ as a whole sucks on that point. ;P But, the main reason for even taking the trip was to attend a Pet Rescue event, and it was really cool, aside from the brief downpour and the fact that I felt a little out of place since there were mostly dogs, and a few people were giving me odd looks..I don't know if it was because I was wearing my "Sandrock" hat, or because it's just that obvious that I'm a cat person. ^^;;; I did get slobbered on by a Corgi, and that was cute. ^_^ Of course, I gravitated more toward the few cat booths. There was this small, lovely tortie in a place where I talked with the owner a bit, whose operation runs like Forgotten Felines in NY, where we got TK from. Then there was the Maine Coon rescue place...Lordy, those cats are HUGE! I think they had a small, dark tiger rather than a housecat. O_o And two little kittens, who were grooming each other! So cute!
And, of course, it was nice to get out of town for a while. I don't know how anyone can call this a resort town. Even Prescott was more of a resort than this place! Man! When I think resorts, I think the Bahamas, Hawaii, DisneyWorld. I don't think some backwater too high up in the mountains with scary hicks and rednecks galore. ;P Scottsdale reminded me a bit of the NY suburbs, but with palm trees. ;) And, in that case, it reminded me of SoCal. Either way, it was a nice place...oh, and there was lots of GREEN GRASS!!! I miss real grass.
