Busy busy! First off, belated thank you to revyrie for the Tinfoil Hat. <|;D Teehee!!

I've been doing well with my new job at work. It's made it so much easier to get through the day being able to work alone and know that I need rely only on me, myself, and no one else to accomplish things (rather than get my hackles up all the time over people who aren't pulling their weight). The boss has said several times that I'm doing well, so I'm confident in some of the liberties I've taken with how I do the job (as opposed to following the dictated schedule by the letter).

Gardening is in full swing -- yesterday I began the landscaping plan to turn the backyard into a small farm. The seeds have been started, and I already have some sprouts! I cleared out the area on one side of the shed to make it easier to take it down.I've also reorganized the garage a bit more, and deconstructed more of what's left of the side porch. Good thing, too, because I found the beginnings of a wasp nest on the underside of one plank. :P
The azaleas are crazy this year. %D The magenta one is in a full bloom like I've never seen it before. The white one looks like it will have a similar plethora of flowers, and the tiny purplish ones that I didn't think would survive the winter also grew back awesomely. I'm going to keep the roses in check this year. I'm hoping the tiger lilies I transplanted last year will flower this time. The gladiolas are already coming up, and almost all of the perennials I planted last year have come back. I'm worried there's a dead spot in the corner (formerly the pit) garden, but I've dug up more rocks from the back yard that I could put there instead.

While I was digging up the new vegetable patch I came across a partially disintegrated plastic sandwich bag that had rocks in it. I can't remember if one of us buried it there years ago or not, so it might even have been someone who owned the house before us. They're pretty-looking rocks, but I wouldn't call them exceptionally awesome. I set them aside and will probably add them to the front garden. I'll have that one completely filled with rocks by the time I get done with the back yard. %D Gotta love the rocky soil around here.

I keep writing down the themes for 31_days but I have yet to write anything. I'm still picking at the third part of Remembrance, but it feels like I have to drag my own story out of myself. I think it might be time to officially retire from writing. The words just don't flow like they used to. That's okay, though. I had fun while it lasted. :)

Meanwhile, I've learned a new creative medium: crocheting! I'm currently making a baby blanket as a welcome gift for my friend Edwin's new kitten, Athena, who comes home next Friday. ^_^ She's an adorable little calico. ^___^

In fandom news, I am totally addicted to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Man, I've missed good anime. ;_; I'm watching the previous animated version of FMA, too, since both are available on Netflix. Now if I can just get my hands on the music from Brotherhood! ;D
