Quick Note

It's been a busy weekend, more busy-ness continuing into the week, so I just wanted to say -- hurray for Doctor Who geekery! =D I'll reply later -- but nice to hear from you again, Meeks!

*waves* hurray indeed! I've missed having people to be geeky with. Have you been keeping up with the latest series?

I wish I could -- we don't have any channel that shows it and my computer can't keep up with Internet video technology to watch it online. I've got it saved in Netflix, though, when it becomes available.

Is it a problem of internet speed, or is your computer not able to process the new codecs? I can try burning them to disc for you when the season ends at the end of the month, if that would help...

My computer is obsolete. :\ What format would the files be? My sister would kill me if I downloaded whole episodes onto her laptop, but if I'm just borrowing it to watch a CD, it might fly. If they don't burn to disk, though, I still have the Netflix option.

What format can you play? I can convert. I might even be able to get it into whatever form a dvd player needs, if that's easier for you.

I have Quiktime and DivX, although they're also older versions.

My 5-year old (G4) mac mini seems to handle the avi files okay using Quicktime with Perian. E-mail me at meeks-at-mikaspace-dot-net with your snail mail addy if you want a copy :)
