*Pets computer* After applying a can of air to the inside, the weird noise is gone. ^__^ Gee, there was a lot of cat hair in there, I wonder why. =P
I have come to a realization about my struggle to finish my current Transformers fics. This is exactly what happened when I was trying to write my last serial fics for HoND and Gundam W. I did finally manage with HoND, what, a year plus after I completed the second-to-last chapter? And Gundam W is still sitting around waiting for two more parts of the Episode Zero and is eternally stuck on Chapter 3. My G Gundam multichapter attempt was a joke. So here I am, with Transformers Renewal, stuck on Chapter 8, more than a year after I started the fic, and meanwhile I completed Reunions in four months.
I'm not sure what to classify this as, however. It isn't a loss of interest, I still love Transformers just as I still love GundamW and HoND. Perhaps I simply reach a point in my fanfic writing where I feel like I no longer have a story to tell -- regardless of where the fic has left off. I'd still like to complete Renewal, although I'm sure even if I had a writing spurt today I still wouldn't finish it before TF2 premieres. I do have that G1 fic I picked up again that is now in danger of falling into the same category, as while the first chapter is waiting to be proofread I haven't gone back to finish the second. I want to finish both fics, I hope I can finish them, before I officially call it quits on Transformers fanfic. Like the other stuff I've written for, it may simply be its time, and then I will wait for the next interest to come along that will inspire me to write.
...And maybe I'll reboot my original novel concepts and finish that, too. :P Now that one is going on nine and a half years.
Meme! Day 4:
-- Yearly appraisal at work yesterday. Basically, they say I'm awesome at my job and they still want to be sure they keep me. ^____^ Even the store manager put in that the department has looked better than it ever has before, and I'm credited with helping to get it into shape. ^__^ Alas, there were some "below expectations" in the customer service areas, but that's only because they had to take the past several months into consideration, when I was under effects of lack-of-medication. However, the supervisor doing the review said to me that she has noticed the positive changes in me since I've gotten back on meds, and she apologized that they had to include those remarks. ^_^
Meme! Day 5:
-- Obviously, I'm very happy that simply applying a can of air has helped my computer. ^_^ There is no way I can afford a new one, so I hope this guy hangs in there for a few more years. It's five years old as it is, and I'm getting some of those "your software is obsolete" issues around the 'Net again, but I'll stick it out as long as I can. This computer is as updated as it can get. *pets*
Of course, I still have delusions that I might someday upgrade my Cube. Hey, I've seen the hardware for the latest iMacs, why couldn't you put those guts inside a Cube? :P How small are laptops these days? And you can use phones as web browsers now. Come on. :*P
