God i'm knackered.
Been sooo busy with stuff....Mum rang on Tuesday to tell me Steve - her husband (not my dad) had a minor heart attack.
Apparently when we were all at Blackpool, he started to get chest pains, but thought it was indegestion.
He then got the pains again on monday, but since he's a techy for the PCT (primary care trust), there was a resident doc-type person there and he sent Steve straight to hospital.
The Scans came back fine, but the blood test had some type of marker that indicates a recent heart attack.
Wonderful timing since my mum's supposed to go to Quatar on Sunday!!!! Obviously panic ensued when the heart attack verdict came back, followed by realisation that mum was supposed to be dissapearing off soon (for 3 yrs).
Steve wants her to go, She has already left her old job.
He has to stay in hospital for an angiogram, which will take up to four weeks, he will also have to be off work for six weeks.
He might also need an angioplasty depending on the outcome of the angiogram, Mum will need to bring in the cash if steve is off for any length of time.
Therefore she is gonna go anyway, but if Steve needs any surgery she'll come back for it.

Well it looks like now i'm helping mum out with forwarding post (which she is now going to send here for me to filter through and send her the important stuff).
I will also need to send over her excess baggage once she has a more permanent address.
I'm gonna lend Steve my Gameboy advance to while away the weeks he's stuch there for.
I was surprised to hear that the wouldn't let him out of bed for the first night!
By the second, he was allowed to sit on the chair by the bed but wasn't allowed to go to the toilets. He had to go in a potty thin by his bed! (with the curtains closed obviously)
I do understand why, but you dont think about these things in detail!
He should be able to wonder around the ward by now.

On a brighter note, Ratty is better.
I was worried at first, as she developed a few scabs on her back.. i got some teatree oil for it and wrapped it up in the sticky bandage-type stuff (which can also be used as support), it's PINK! he he sh looked silly with a pink bandage round her middle!
The scas seem to be clearing up, i was worried the Lymphoma had affected her skin, which apparently can spread over her whole body.
Any how all good. in fact, since we've been checking in on her once in the morning and twice in the evening after work.
Weve been giving her ratty chocolates after poking at her to make sure alls as it should be and not lumpy. now she's getting fat ... a good thing i suppose as it means she still has a decent appetite!

Time to melt in front of the TV.
